Our Strategy
SAVE is developing focus groups in the UK whereby those who wish to take up and support projects in particular states and in specific locations which they have a connection with, will be able to do so. Focus groups are being formed to support projects in Kerala, Bihar, Assam, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, and West Bengal with the help of people from these states settled in the UK. We will use the same model when we extend our work in other countries in South Asia.
If you would like to support our work in a specific state can you please indicate this when making a donation. This can be done using the online donation link or you can write with the information to: SAVE, 9 Kirkvale Crescent, Newton Mearns, Glasgow G77 5HB.
SAVE is an unique diaspora organisations which is trying to engage all the NRI’s settled in the UK to contribute to the charitable work amongst the lowest of the low in our society we have left behind, in an institutional way. Western NGO’s are doing wonderful work all over the world at the grass root levels including social research and the results are available for not only to inform the public and but also to influence the governments. SAVE intends to follow the same path in India through working in association with 'SAVE-India', a fraternal and independent organisation with similar aims and objectives to SAVE in the UK. Ultimatly we intend to work with similar independent, fraternal, organisations in all the countries included in the SAARC family. SAVE is the only diaspora organisation which is trying to work in all the SAARC countries in South Asia.
If western NGO’s can work all over the world SAVE should be able to work at least amongst all the SAARC countries, and not restrict itself only to India.
Poor people are the same all over the world, wherever they are, they need help. Providing help and assistance increases friendship and spreads the message of peace between the contending and conflicting neighbours and countries. SAVE works towards increasing that friendship.
