Since 1998 SAVE-UK has been sponsoring 6 to 10 young women staying in the ASHI’s ‘Short Stay Home’ for abused young women each year. SAVE-UK has been training them as Auxiliary nurses, ECG technicians and physiotherapists. Since 2011 SAVE-INDIA has been the sole supporter of beauticians training course run by ASHI.

Sundari Kisku, is a 25-yearold tribal woman forced out of school due to poverty and agricultural work due to physical disability. She came to ASHI’s Short Stay Home and SAVE-UK funded her Auxiliary nurse training. She now works in an Intensive Care ward of a nursing home in Kolkata.

Since 2011 SAVE-India has been the sole supporter of ASHI’s Beautician’s Training course. Paruli Khatun is an orphan and has no formal education. She has done very well in Beautician Training and she now works in a Ladies Salon.
