Tagore foundation school was founded in Kolkata in 2001 by Mrs. Srabani Sengupta with the task of educating differently able children with special needs. It educates these children with autism, cerebral palsy and Downs syndrome, etc, along with normal children so that they could be rehabilitated in the society. Initially known as Little Hut, she started the school with only two students. Now the school has a total of 150 students which include 25 slow learners, 28 special children and 20 normal children from the poorer section of the society.
Save India has been the main supporter of their activities for the last two years.
