SAVE-UK and SAVE-India always work in collaboration with well-established and well-respected local NGOs working at the grass roots level. It chooses its partner NGOs after undertaking the ‘Due Diligence’ by looking at the latter’s legitimacy and credibility, the details of their governing structures, their annual reports and audited annual accounts and ultimately meeting the beneficiaries, the people living in the project area. The projects are designed in collaboration with the local NGOs and beneficiaries before we decide to provide fund for them. We also arrange to monitor our funded projects by appointed monitors. SAVE-UK has been working with the voluntary sector in India since 1994 and in all these years it has strictly followed the above modus operandi.
