SAVE works with local grass-root non-political and non-religious charitable organisations for the poor in the above countries to:
IMPROVE Education and health
PROMOTE Mother and child care, Nutrition and Sanitation
ENHANCE Women’s rights and empowerment
DEVELOP Skills for income generation
RAISE Awareness on environmental and social issues
SAVE UK and SAVE INDIA choose their partner NGOs after undertaking ‘Due Diligence’. This involves looking at the organisation’s legitimacy (Registration) and credibility, their Annual Reports and Audited Annual Accounts, names of their past and current donors and finally meeting all the stakeholders, including the grass root beneficiaries. The projects are designed in collaboration with the local NGOs and beneficiaries. We monitor our funded projects with the help of SAVE India and our appointed monitors. SAVE-UK now has 23 years experience in working with the voluntary sectors in India.
